Newsletter No. 19
Friday 2nd February 2008

Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Good bye to Mrs Goddard!
We will be saying a good bye to Mrs Goddard very soon. Mrs Grove has taken over the post of finance officer, but Mrs Goddard will pop back in to assist and advise.
Whilst she is not parents’ first port of call, some of you will have met her as she’s taken messages and sorted out uniform and other bits and pieces. She has made such a contribution to the administration of the school, particularly our finances! I know the PTA team are sad to see her go.

We have a goodbye card in the office if you would like to pop in and sign it and if you’d like to make a contribution. We are collecting for a gift, so do give Mrs Dobson any contributions you would like to make. Thank you.

Year Two Parents Meeting
It was great to see so many parents at this meeting – I hope you found it useful.
For those who were unable to attend, we will be sending home the notes today so you can have a good look. Do ask questions when you come in for parents evening.

Parents Evening
We have attached forms for you to complete for parents evening (available to download at the bottom of the page). Please indicate which time is best for you and return it to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible. The teachers will then return a note to you indicating the actual time.

New Blue Class Parents Open Morning
It was lovely that so many parents could pop in and see what happens in school! We look forward to your child going full time next week.

E-Safety
We have found this short video the CBBC web-site which you might think is appropriate to watch with your child, depending on how much access they have to the internet at home. Take a look yourself first so you can decide if it’s worth a look now or sometime in the future.

PTA News

Next week we have two PTA events happening. On Tuesday it will be the Sponsored pancake toss during the morning at school, so please be sure to have your sponsorship forms back in school on Monday so that we can record on them how many times your child tosses the pancake. Anyone who is available to help with this event please contact us on polehamptoninfantspta@hotmail.co.uk or see Ali or Claire.

On Thursday 7th after school it is the turn of blue class to run a Cake sale. Please could blue class parents plan to bring in some small cakes or biscuits (homemade or shop bought) on the morning of the 7th, and everyone is welcome to buy cakes from about 3pm onwards outside Blue class.

You should have received school link catalogues this week and we are also sending home the new Yellow Moon catalogue. As mentioned on the PTA letter last week, we receive up to 25% of the value of Yellow Moon orders back as a cheque, so this is a great way to raise funds for the fitness trail.
