Newsletter No. 18
Friday 25th January 2008

Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Non-Uniform Day
Thanks to everyone for donations today. The money will be spent on infant friendly headphones.

Yellow Class Assembly
Well done to Yellow Class for your great assembly this week all about the months of the year. You all spoke up very well indeed!

Parking in School
Please note that parking is not allowed for parents in the school car park before or after school. We simply do not have room, there is no turning circle and it becomes dangerous to have lots of cars moving around at the same time as little children.
I do have 2 parents that have authorisation due to medical reasons, but I’m afraid everyone else will have to make other arrangements. Waitrose have always said that they are more than happy for our parents to use their car park, which is very handy.

The Playground Refurbishment – thanks to the PTA
I had a very exciting meeting about our new fitness trail this week! We have pencilled in the work for the week beginning 5th May. Plans are being drawn up as we speak. I’ve spoken to lots of children and we’re tried to incorporate all their ideas. I will consult with the children and the PTA before any final decisions are made.
If you have any ideas or thoughts about the new equipment, do write a note or catch me in the playground – for example, one mum mentioned that the path between the areas is very narrow for buggies, so we’ve asked for it to be widened.  This is the kind of thing I might not know, so those sorts of comments are really welcome at this stage.
The PTA are funding this project, so a huge thank you to them for all their work and to everyone for their donations and contributions.

Blue Class – church visit
Blue class will now visit St Mary’s Church on Wednesday 6th  February instead of Wednesday 13th February.  If you would like to walk with us please see one of the Blue class staff .

Blue class would also like scrap paper for their activities – thank you.

Local Weather Forecast
Sunny all weekend!

Have a great weekend,
