Newsletter No. 23
Friday 2nd March 2007

Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Green Class assembly
Well done Green Class for your very exciting assembly today all about the rainforest and the animals.

Bike Racks
With the warmer weather approaching, some children may wish to cycle to school. There are a bike rack spaces available. If your child wishes to cycle to school and leave their bike, please see Mrs Martin for a bike rack form. This is on a first come first served basis, unfortunately an email request will not be accepted, as we need a signature from a parent. There are currently 12 spaces.

PTA children's disco
This popular event is sold out now, so there will be no admittance unless you have a ticket. Please don't turn up on the off-chance, as it would be very disappointing for your child to be turned away!

Red Nose Day - watch this space to see what to wear that day!
We still have plenty of red noses available. Please see Mrs Martin for the "Nose that Grows" - only a £1.

World Book day
Every child brought home a book token yesterday, as it was World Book Day. We hope you have fun spending them!!

Happy 50th Birthday to "The Cat In the Hat"
Today, we all shared in the National read-a-thon of "The Cat in the Hat", which is 50 years old today. This took place across the country at 2.36pm to mark the fact that there are 236 different words in this fantastic children's classic.

Head Lice
We have a bit of a problem again with headlice at the moment. The only effective way to eradicate this problem is for every parent to regularly check their child's hair and act promptly if you find any "visitors".

Madelaine Kelly School of Dancing proudly presents "Dancing Feet 2007" at The Bearwood Theatre, Bearwood College, Wokingham on Friday 16th March @ 7.00 p.m., Saturday 17th March @ 2.30 & 7.00 p.m. and Sunday 18th March @ 2.30 p.m. We are proud to announce that Bethan Howells - Green Class, Emma-Jane Russell - Orange Class, Charlotte Beeton and Katie Lawrence - Blue Class are performing. Year 1 Trip to Kew Gardens
Please forward your payment and consent forms as soon as possible - we cannot take your child without the consent form. Thank you.

School Lunches for Late Arrivals
If your child requires a school lunch and will be late in due to an appointment, please let the Mrs Martin know so she can advise the kitchen.
