Newsletter No. 13
Friday 8th December 2006
Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,
Christmas Fair
Wasn't this year's fair fantastic? I thought it had a lovely atmosphere of Christmas and community! An amazing effort from a huge number of people. I can't thank the PTA commttee enough for all their hard work.
Our final total was an amazing £1,200 profit - take a look at our web-site for a great photo of our fantastic new Santa's Grotto!
Yrs 2 Admissions into Primary
In a change of arrangements from those outlined on last week's newsletter, all Year Two Parents should now have received their application forms for the Junior School this week from us. Please check in book bags if you haven't received yours yet. These are to be returned to our school office. As they need to be with the Admissions department by 9th February, can we please have them by Friday 2nd February to guarantee they are put in on time - thank you.
Key Stage Two League Table
A huge congratulations to our Junior School, who did extremely well in the Key Stage Two League tables which were published yesterday. They came 7th out of all the Wokingham schools, which is fantatsic as Wokingham came 2nd in the whole country. We were also very proud, as Polehampton came higher than all our local schools. Well done to them!!!
PTA Bauble Competition
Everyone who entered this competition will have received their certificate and picture today. We have two without names on, so please pop into the office so we can issue certificates to those children.
Christmas Nativity - "Are We Nearly There Yet?"
We have received requests from nearly everyone for yesterday's deadline, so we've been able to allocate tickets. We will try to accomodate any outstanding requests, but we need to have those as soon as possible - thank you.
Shoebiz Appeal - Thank you!
Between ourselves, Twyford & Ruscombe Toddlers Group and St Mary's Church, we collected an astonishing 208 pairs of shoes!!! There's a lovely shot of Tom Sabberton-Coe on the front page of this week's Twyford Advertiser and one on our web-site too.
Menu - ooops!!
Mrs Martin, who works so incredibly hard, has had quite a senior moment and has completely muddled the menus. Please note, next week will be Week 2. Please accept Mrs Martin's most profuse apologies.
Christmas Tree
A big Thank You to Shannon Johnson and her Dad, for walking through the woods and choosing our Christmas tree, which has been beautifully decorated.
Twyford Village Fair
Don't forget, it's the Village Fair tonight and we hope to see as many of you there. Our Junior School pupils are singing carols, which will be lovely.
Signing Children in and Out
Please remember to sign late children in and sign children out if you are taking them early. We need it for our registers in case of an evactuation.
