Newsletter No. 8
Friday 3rd November 2006
Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,
Admissions Forms for 2007/08
If your child is either starting school or moving to the Junior school next academic year, you will shortly be receiving your forms at home explaining what to do next.
The closing date is Friday 9th February, so you have plenty of time to return it to the council. We will be holding another Open Day on Tuesday 9th January at 9.15am - please mention this if you know of any prospective parents who would like to visit. Otherwise, I am happy to show people round the school at a time more convenient to them.
Mrs Montie is holding a meeting for our Year Two parents who want to know more about the Junior School on Monday 15th January at 7.00 p.m. at the Junior School.
Mrs Montie and the staff welcome visits from any prospective parent at any time of the year. Please contact the Junior School office to make an appointment on 934 1338.
PTA Craft evening
This was an excellent event last night, a very enjoyable and relaxing way to spend an evening, picking up a few tips from experts and getting a few gifts for Christmas. A huge thank you to the PTA for all the time and effort into organising this event.
Buy At Web-site
Thanks agin to our marvellous PTA who have spotted an excellent offer called "Every Purchase Counts" on the "buy.at" web-site. Now the school will get an extra 25p for every transaction made thorugh a link on the web-site. So do take a look before you buy on-line, as soon many shops are part of this offer. Go to http://www.buy.at/Polehampton
Tesco Vouchers
If you have any more Tesc vouchers at home, please send them in as soon as you can as this offer is coming to an end. Many thanks for all those collected so far.
Individual Photos
Today is the last chance to hand in your order for the individual school photos. If you have missed this deadline, you will need to follow the instructions on the proof. For pupils who missed October?s opportunity for individual school photos can have their photos taken when Tempest visit the Juniors on 8th November. Please speak to Mrs Martin for further instructions.
Art & Craft Voluntary Contributions
We have had a disappointing reaction to our request. Whilst this contribution is voluntary, there is an ever-increasing cost to purchase items for art and craft. We have therefore attached the slip in the hope that we receive an increased response. Thank you for your contributions.
Needed
We are in need of larger sizes of boys trousers for our "spare" box. If your son has outgrown his uniform, we would be grateful to receive the trousers!
