Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

PTA Craft Evening
The chocolate fountain has been delivered, the excitement in the staffroom is growing??I hope to see you at this fantastic new event run by the PTA to give us some great ideas with Christmas in the not too distant future. I really appreciate all the work that goes onto creating these social events and, of course, to raise funds for school. I'll be along with my wish list!

Improvements to the School
I thought I'd share with you some of the many improvements we've been making to school recently and plans for this holiday. New windows are being installed in Blue and Red classes and the doors to the hall, which should help with security and energy efficiency. We now have blinds throughout the school, which improves security, the glare from the sun and if we have another very hot summer, will hopefully keep us a little cooler. Next week, new carpets are going down in Green and Yellow classes and in the corridor outside Blue class.
Our IT provision has vastly improved, as you may noticed when you came in for parents evening.
It's a pleasure to see these improvements in the learning environment, as it has a direct impact on the children's experiences, as well as making the school look smart and up-to-date.

Parents Evening
I hope you found these meetings useful and informative this week. We hold these meetings termly, but do pop in to make an appointment if you?d like another chat at any time. Please don't feel you have to wait for parents evening to ask any questions. Thank you!

We would like to thank all of you who have used this website in the past and helped to raise quite a significant amount of funds. With Christmas looming, we would like to ask that if you are ordering any presents online that, where appropriate, you do so through our buy.at site. For those of you who do not know, buy.at is an online marketing network through which over 100 retailers are accessible such as BT, Marks and Spencer, John Lewis, CDWOW and Game. For each purchase made we earn commission and several retailers also have special offers for buy.at customers. The website is easy to use and more and more retailers are joining on a regular basis. For more information, please contact Melanie Bush. www.buy.at/polehampton

Cake Sale
This yummy event was a treat yesterday, thanks to the PTA for organising and to parents and children for all your hard baking and shopping. You raised a whopping £86.10. The money raised is going towards sponsoring animals at Marwell Zoo, where we went on a whole school trip in June this summer. More details to follow!

School Dinners - Vegetarian option
If your child would prefer the vegetarian option, please pop a note into their purse or let us know in advance as vegetarian meals are only prepared for those we know about - thank you.

Individual Photos
Due to the half term, the deadline has been extended for the return of your order. Please ensure your order is in to Mrs Martin by Friday 3rd November. Thank you.
