Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Fire Alarm Practice at Home Time
We need to do fire alarm practices at different times of the day, to ensure we can respond to different situations. Next week, we intend to do a practice around home-time. I have decided to tell you in advance, so you are aware of our procedures and can support us. It is important to the children and staff that practices happen quietly and calmly, so we can spot any problems quickly and deal with them well.
The procedure takes place every time:-
* children line up on the pitch, class by class
* the teacher calls the register to ensure every child is out safely
* the office staff check all adults, including anyone signed into the visitor book
So we would ask you to help us by
* letting the teacher check their pupils - please don't call them over to you or take them until the teacher says so
* if you are in school for any reason, please evacuate the building quietly and quickly with us
* join us on the pitch, so everyone is safely away from the building
* keep any little ones with you, so the teachers and children can concentrate on their registers
* do not re-enter the building until the all-clear is given
Please let us know if you have any comments after the practice - they serve as an excellent opportunity to improve practice and safety at school.
Thank you!

Apologises from the Judo Club
Dave Edmonds, who manages the judo club, apologised profusely for the lack of teacher on Monday. George was poorly and it took his replacement 3 hours to get here from Salisbury - he arrived at 9.10am!
George is happy to put an extra class on at the end to make up for the missed lesson.

Any Musicians out there??
During our arts week (12th-16th June) this year, we would love to have musicians in school to play for the children to hear. We would really appreciate any volunteers from our parent community! Any time that week would be good to visit one or more classes, but we'd really appreciate volunteers for our assembly on Wednesday or Thursday that week, too.
Please see Mrs Smith in yellow class or pop into the office if you would be able to help us that week.

Community Arts Project
Another successful session last night. Many thanks for the parents who attended yesterday; it was lovely to see some new faces. A big thank for Mrs Rogers and Ms Keelan for their continued support and hard work in making this a successful project. Please visit us after school on Thursdays to see how the project is progressing.

Thanks to the Junior School.
For moving the time of your Leaver's Show so our shared parents can attend both events - lots of tissues needed in those families!
