Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,
Goodbye to Mrs Reeves
We said a sad goodbye to Mrs Reeves, who has been our Finance Officer for the past 3½ years. She has made a real difference to our school during this time and thank her for all her work with us. We wish her and all her family the very best for the future.
Dressing Up Day on World Book Day - Thursday 2nd March
We're all looking forward to seeing everyone's outfits and costumes on Thursday next week. I do hope everyone will join in! The outfits don?t have to be big fancy affairs - a silly hat or well-chosen T-shirt can go a long way!!! I understand there are some amazing creation on the way!
Visit from the High Sheriff of Berkshire
We had a very exciting visit yesterday from the High Sheriff of Berkshire, Mary Bayliss and Patsy Townsend from the Thames Valley Partnership. Their organisation was kind enough to sponsor our "Buddy Bus-stop", so they were here to see it in action.
Thanks to Camaron Page-Mortimer, Lucy Prichard, Eddie Stubbington & Katie Beale for being this week's playground buddies!
Class Attendance Certificates
We are encouraging every class to work together on their attendance, although I know so many children were poorly last half term! However, we had 2 classes who had the best attendance last half term! So well done to Yellow & Orange classes!!!
Sponsored Pancake Toss - Tuesday 28th February
Please return your sponsored forms as soon as possible. This is a much fun-filled event and the children are looking forward to it.
Volunteer's Day - 10am-4pm tomorrow
I'm looking forward to having a good tidy up tomorrow. If you do have some time tomorrow, do come along - if you have any gardening equipment, spades, forks, etc, please do bring it along, as our school supply is a little limited - many thanks!!
Thursday Clubs
We made a brief start to our clubs this week. All the children met their new group, so will be ready to get under way next week.
Children will stay in the same club for half a term, then have an opportunity to choose again. This term's clubs are:- science investigations, computer club, board games, sports club, dance and drama, music, gardening.
If you would like to help out in any of these clubs, please see Miss Perkins who is co-ordinating this exciting initiative.
Tennis Club & Fit N Funky Aerobic Club
We still have a few places for tennis on Wednesday morning and the Tuesday morning Fit N Funky if anyone would like to join us.
Please see Mrs Martin if you would like to sign up for either of these clubs.
Missing Sweat Cardi
Shannon Johnson is missing a sweatcardie. The label inside is named with either Shannon's name or her older sibling Lauren Johnson's name. Please check sweatcardie's to see if your daughter picked up the wrong item of clothing by mistake. It is important that all items of clothing are labelled clearly. Thank you.
Tesco's Computer For Schools Vouchers
Yes, its that time again! From 6th March to 14th May, Tesco are giving vouchers with your shopping. We would be most grateful to receive as many of these vouchers as possible to assist us in our quest to improve our computer suite. Thank you.
