Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Yr2 Parent Meeting with Mrs Montie
There will be a meeting for Year 2 parents held at the Juniors on Monday 27th February at 7.00pm. This will give you an opportunity to hear Mrs Montie talk about her vision for the Junior School, find out about the Yr2/3 transition activities we have planned and ask any general questions. She will always be more than pleased to speak to any parent about their child individually, but this is a useful chance to hear her speak and start planning for the future.

School Admissions 06/07
All parents whose children start school next academic year or move to the junior school should have received a personalised form from Wokingham District Council by now. If you haven't please call the admissions department on 0118 974 6131.
Remember the closing date is 10th March!!!

Parents Evenings & Open Morning
I was pleased to see so many parents in school this week - I hope you found your meetings useful and informative. Blue class parents, I hope the chance to work alongside your child on Wednesday morning, gave more meaning to the little comments they tell you!

Yellow Class Assembly
Well done to Yellow class for their fantastic puppet show assembly this week - a gold book moment for you 

Blue Class Cake Sale
This event raised £47.10 - well done and thanks to everyone who helped! Blue Class will decide how to spend the money - what fun!

Volunteer's Day -? Saturday 25th February
If anyone has any time on the first Saturday back, so pop into the office and let me know - lunch will be provided. We will be mostly in the garden, so finger's crossed for good weather! However, we are in need of some gardening equipment and would be most grateful if the following could be provided:

Trowels, hand forks, secateurs, plastic sheeting, envirofleece. Less expensive items required: plant pots, plant labels, seed trays, seeds -even those past their "use-by" dates.

House plants - of any kind. If you can't spare a whole plant, a cutting would be fine.

Children's wellies!!!!!!!

Twyford Advertiser & Henley Standard
We've been in the local press this week. The Feed the Children toy sale and Mrs Forsyth's leaving assembly appear in the Twyford Advertiser and Phoebe from Yellow Class celebrates her achievements in ballet in the Henley Standard.

Dressing up Day - Thursday 2nd March
Just a reminder - dressing up day is not far away!!!

Buddy Bus Stop
Thank you to Robert, Lily, Leyla V, Marco of Year 2 for being Buddy Pals this week. They did a very good job and we will be looking for more Year 2 volunteers after the half term holiday.

Tokens
We are still collecting the above tokens. So Mums clean those clothes, feed those kids and spend that money!!!!! We have recently taken receipt of sports equipment from the many Tesco Sports tokens and we would like to thank you for your continued support.

Car Parking
We understand that parking near the school grounds can be problematic, but please consider our residents. We have an arrangement with Waitrose for our parents to park their cars in the car park in the morning and at the end of the school day. We feel this would be beneficial as the children get to walk through the village.

Short Tennis
We are starting a tennis morning club on Wednesday 22nd February and there are very limited numbers available - only 8. These places are strictly on a first come first served basis. It is primarily a 6 week course, starts at 8.00 a.m. and cost £4 per session. Cheques should be made available to J M Cook who is a LTA approved coach. Forms are available from the office. Should this prove popular, Mr Cook will consider opening another morning session after the Easter break.
