Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Toy & Children's Clothes Sale-? Feed The Children
We apologise for our error and wish to clarify that Feed the Children will be holding another sale with us on Monday 6th February from 3.15pm. Come along and snap up a bargain - all for a very good cause!

Tall Standing Plants
We still seeking to make our school more "green" by introducing some tall (4 or 5 foot high) plants around the building. If you have a plant that's taking over a small place in your house and needs a new home, pop it along to us and we'll be more than happy to look after it. Thank you.

Parents Evening
Everyone should have received their appointments for parents evening this week.
Please see your child's class teacher as soon as possible if you don't have an appointment yet. These are extremely important meetings, giving you a chance to find out how your child is progressing, ask questions and discuss future targets.

The Door
We now have copies of this month's publication of "The Door"? magazine in the foyer.
This is a publication from the Oxford Diocese and has many interesting articles about the church and community events, including a mention of the "Via Dolorosa" exhibition which our children shared last year at "White Space" (Hazel's house next door!)
Do pop in and collect a copy - they're free!

School Council
Thanks to the Junior School Council for popping down yesterday to give us a very useful insight into their work. We intend to start our own school council after half term as we are keen to hear more of the "pupil voice" and use their ideas and thoughts to develop the school. More on this after the holidays!

Buddy Bus Stop
Next week will see the launch of our "Buddy Bus Stop"? in the playground. The idea is that children can visit the Buddy Bus Stop if they are feeling a little lonely - maybe their best friend is off school today - or they want to make new friends. Anyone can approach and be friendly to the person at the bus stop, but it will be the responsibility of nominated Yr2 children to keep on eye on it and support those who need a friend.

Healthy Schools
Our Healthy Schools Group will recognise both these and other initiatives as an extension of our Healthy Schools work. Having achieved the Bronze Award in the summer last year, we have continued with this work in school, whilst waiting for the scheme to be re-organised. Miss Sohotey will be leading the next stage of this work and we will be in touch about our plans for the future.
