Dear Parents, Carers and Governors,

Learning Platform Meeting for Parents

Everyone is invited to attend the hands-on workshops, but places are limited so do book a place in the office
• Monday 9th November 2-3pm
• Wednesday 11th November 9-10am
• Monday 16th November 7-8pm

New Lines on Hermitage Drive
You might have noticed that the council have painted new lines opposite the Hermitage Drive entrance to school. These are in force from 8.00-9.30am and from 2.00-4.00pm. This should make this area much safer for children to cross the road.

Year Two visit the War Memorial in Twyford
Many thanks to Lt. Col. Winthrop and Major Robins who escorted our year two children to the war memorial in Twyford to mark Remembrance Day.  Revd. Simon met us there to commemorate the war. The children were fascinated to have real soldiers to talk to and ask questions of.

Poppies
Thanks to our year two school councillors who are selling poppies before school this week and next.

Parents Evening for Years One and Two
Parents in years one and two – you should have received your appointment time by now – if you have not yet asked for a time, please see your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.

We’ve also sent home a parent questionnaire which asks questions about your child. We find this reveals lots of interesting things about the children that we had not discovered before. This then helps us to plan topics and involve the children’s interests in the curriculum. If you would be happy to complete it, please bring it along on the night.

The Travelling Book Company - Book Fair
We’ve already sold lots of books – the last chance to buy is Monday 9th November, so do pop in and have a look.

Friday 6th November 3.20- 3.50pm
Monday 9th November 8.40- 9.10am
Monday 9th November 3.30 – 6.00pm
Book Fair will be on display during parents evening. Books can be reserved during this time and purchased the following morning.

Thank you to all volunteers.

Help needed!
Is there anyone who can spare a little time (1 hour a week or whenever fits in) to help us keep our library organised. If you can please see Mrs Smith.

Green Class
As Green Class are so good at coming in by themselves now, please can they use the main door from Monday. This will keep the classroom warm.
Thank you
