Gallery Item 09: Healthy Schools Award Ceremony

We are delighted to let you know that we have been awarded the Healthy Schools Achievement Award and will now be registered nationally as a Healthy School!

The National Healthy Schools Award recognises our high standard of provision in four areas; emotional health & well-being, physical activity, healthy eating and personal and social education.

We are grateful to everyone who worked to achieve this important certification and especially to Miss Perkins who led the initiative.

Two of our Yr1 school councillors accompanied myself and Miss Perkins to a special presentation to receive our plaque and certificate. Polehampton Junior School were also awarded the Healthy Schools Achievement Award and we are pictured together with Cllr Annette Drake, Mayor of Wokingham in the photograph below.
